Jaime Munguia and David Benavidez’s Oscar De La Hoya is ready to make “In a Heartbeat.

Oscar De La Hoya, the promoter, and Jaime Munguia, his student, are promising to sign off on a fight against David Benavidez—something Saul “Canelo” Alvarez doesn’t seem interested in.

After only two fights in the division, Munguia (43-0, 34 KOs) will fight Alvarez (60-2-2, 39 KOs), the undisputed champion of the super middleweight division, on May 4. Benavidez, a career super middleweight, has been on the outside looking in at the “Canelo Sweepstakes.”

Alvarez recently stated that he would need up to $200 million to convince Benavidez to fight him.

De La Hoya stated to BoxingScene, “That’s just another way of saying I don’t want to fight him.” That is the conclusion. That is all there is to it. So you toss out a number. It is typical of Boxing 101. Outprice yourself if you don’t want to fight someone.

“Jaime will be the following person. The man will be him. It’ll be the death of the light [when he beats Alvarez]. Canelo has been with us for a while, and he is currently in the fourth quarter of his career. It is time for fresh blood and a new warrior to take control.

De La Hoya said he would orchestrate a battle among Munguia and Benavidez “instantly.”

Last year, negotiations between the two sides began, but no agreement was ever close to being reached.

Munguia stated to BoxingScene, “It’s going to happen sooner rather than later if both of us keep winning and we both keep doing our thing.”

Benavidez would be an excellent opponent. I’m here to battle the greatest. I see a many individuals are glad to see me battle against Canelo. Whatever is going on [between Alvarez and] David Benavidez, I’m not mindful of it, and I don’t have the foggiest idea – and I genuinely couldn’t care less. I’m centered around myself and getting ready for my battle.”

De La Hoya is anticipating that the maturing Alvarez will lose for what might be the second time in his five battles.

De La Hoya stated, “[Canelo is beatable] because of all the wear and tear.” A fighter who has been fighting for such a long time should just expect their body to start breaking down. History in the game shows there is no contender who can support life span when you are battling the top folks again and again. There’s just nothing that can be done about it. Jaime is more youthful, more vivacious and inspired, and tosses more punches. He can take a punch and has a strong chin. Canelo was a dangerous fighter when he was Munguia’s age. He actually is, however it’s like another Ferrari versus an exemplary Ferrari. You can’t stretch the exemplary Ferrari to the edge any longer.”

De La Hoya also said that now that Munguia and his trainer, Freddie Roach, are working in their second full camp together, he will be able to send his horse into hyperdrive.

He appears to be doing well in training. He walked quickly and easily. a lot of vitality. He’s battling long. That’s nice, “De La Hoya said.

“Freddy brings knowledge and experience, and he knows how to communicate effectively with you. The idea of Freddy and Jaime taking over boxing fascinates me.

Oscar De La Hoya, alongside his protege Jaime Munguia, is working up fervor in the boxing scene by alluding to a likely standoff with David Benavidez – a battle that Saul “Canelo” Alvarez appears to be hesitant to take.

Despite only having two fights under his belt in the super middleweight division, Munguia is already scheduled to face Alvarez, the undisputed champion, on May 4. In the mean time, Benavidez, a carefully prepared super middleweight, has been enthusiastic for a shot at the “Canelo Sweepstakes” yet has ended up uninvolved.

Alvarez’s new remark about requiring $200 million to battle Benavidez was met with wariness by De La Hoya. ” De La Hoya remarked, “That’s just another way of saying I don’t want to fight him.” So you toss out a number. This is standard Boxing 101. If you don’t want to fight someone, overprice yourself.”

Munguia, who is prepared to oust Alvarez, is, in the opinion of De La Hoya, the next big thing in boxing. The next man will be Jaime. De La Hoya confidently declared, “When he beats Alvarez, he’ll be the death of the light.” Canelo has been around for some time, and he’s currently in the final quarter of his vocation. A new warrior and some new blood are needed to take over.”

De La Hoya vowed to organize a battle among Munguia and Benavidez “right away,” flagging a shift from last year’s slowed down talks.

Munguia, on the other hand, said that he was ready for the fight. “If both of us keep winning and doing our thing, it’s going to happen sooner rather than later,” he stated.

Benavidez represents a formidable obstacle that Munguia is more than ready to face. Benavidez would be a fantastic rival. “I’m here to fight with all my might,” Munguia stated.

According to De La Hoya, “[Canelo is beatable] because of all the wear and tear,” Alvarez is vulnerable due to wear and tear. He brought up Munguia’s childhood, energy, and strong jawline as benefits in the likely matchup.

With Munguia and his coach Freddie Cockroach in their subsequent full camp together, De La Hoya is sure about their arrangements. ” He is by all accounts doing great in preparing. He’s battling long, he’s fast, he’s enthusiastic,” De La Hoya commented.

De La Hoya is excited about the possibility of Munguia and Roach dominating boxing because he sees their partnership as a force to be reckoned with.
